I. David and Goliath

In search for a homeland
my brothers and sisters
of Palestine throw stones
and block the bullets
with their bodies.

II. Black Man's Burden

In the name of racial equality
my brothers and sisters
in South Africa carry apartheid
on their backs
and the scar of whips, batons, and bayonets.

III. Rosy

In search for an identity
other than white
my brothers and sisters
in the West try to pacify themselves
by saying, "Pink is beautiful."
